During the company's final State of Play livestream for 2019, Sony showed a 60-second teaser for a new Ghost of Tsushima trailer. The full trailer will be shown at The Game Awards on December 12 at 8:30 p.m. EST, but the State of Play clip gives viewers a glimpse at what the new trailer could reveal. It begins with a group of armored Mongolian soldiers, wheeling a heavy cart through a yellow forest on the island of Tsushima, Japan. They spot the game's masked protagonist, Jin, silhouetted dramatically against the light at the edge of the trees. They then draw their swords and charge, and Jin responds by drawing his and pulling a smoke bomb from his belt, slamming it into the ground below him. While the storm could end up impacting the Mongols at some point in the game, too, Jin will at least help it out significantly, fighting off the invading soldiers himself.
