Daryl Clark marked his 350th Super League appearance with two tries in St Helens' thumping victory at Catalans Dragons.

Clark's 11th-minute finish at the end of a streaming and well-worked team move was the difference as the visitors led 6-0 at the break.

Jacob Host and Shane Wright both went over before Clark grabbed his second shot of the night in Perpignan.

Charlie Staines pulled a try back in the 70th minute, but it disappeared than a consolation effort versus a Saints side that went on to finish their very first away league win with a Jackson Hastings charge and 2 late Kyle Feldt attempts.

In a stressful start, Staines managed an early try-saving deal with of Tristan Sailor out large before being crowded out at the other end as he ferreted out a hazardous kick.

Both opportunities can be found in fast succession and right before Clark opened the scoring, Wright punching through the Dragons' defence to send out the England worldwide over.

Saints' early-season trip to France reunited them with Lewis Dodd for the very first time since he made his Super League return with Catalans after a 1 year stint in with South Sydney.

He went near getting an unforgettable shot against the club with whom he won three Super League titles, a Difficulty Cup and World Club Challenge, but fumbled the ball in a take on just except the line after a darting run.

Host then connected with Clark to bulldoze over at the other end to add to the visitors' benefit not long after, and Wright repeated for Saints on the hour mark by spinning out of the clutches of three tried tacklers to touch down.

Clark struck out of dummy half and went over from close quarters to assist make it 24-0 with 15 minutes left and, while Staines connected with Josh Simm on the left edge to get a shot back for the stunned home side, it rapidly got even worse for Catalans.

Hastings, who converted 5 attempts in the win, edged Paul Rowley's Saints further ahead with a 73rd-minute charge before two ratings in the final two minutes of the match from prolific winger Feldt finished a resounding win.
