Daryl Clark marked his 350th Super League look with 2 shots in St Helens' thumping victory at Catalans Dragons.

Clark's 11th-minute finish at the end of a streaming and well-worked group move was the difference as the visitors led 6-0 at the break.

Jacob Host and Shane Wright both went over before Clark grabbed his second try of the night in Perpignan.

Charlie Staines pulled a try back in the 70th minute, but it was no more than a consolation effort against a Saints side that went on to complete their very first away league win with a Jackson Hastings penalty and two late Kyle Feldt tries.

In a chaotic start, Staines managed an early try-saving deal with of Tristan Sailor out large before being crowded out at the other end as he chased down an unsafe kick.

Both opportunities can be found in fast succession and right before Clark opened the scoring, Wright punching through the Dragons' defence to send the England international over.

Saints' early-season journey to France reunited them with Lewis Dodd for the very first time considering that he made his return with Catalans after an one-year stint in Australia's NRL with South Sydney.

He went near to grabbing an unforgettable try versus the club with whom he won 3 Super League titles, a Difficulty Cup and World Club Challenge, but fumbled the ball in a deal with simply brief of the line after a darting run.

Host then linked with Clark to bulldoze over at the other end to contribute to the visitors' benefit right after, and Wright repeated for Saints on the hour mark by drawing out of the clutches of three tried tacklers to touch down.

Clark struck out of dummy half and reviewed from close range to assist make it 24-0 with 15 minutes left and, while Staines connected up with Josh Simm on the left edge to get a shot back for the shocked home side, it rapidly became worse for Catalans.

Hastings, who converted 5 tries in the win, edged Paul Rowley's Saints even more ahead with a 73rd-minute charge before 2 scores in the final 2 minutes of the match from respected winger Feldt completed a resounding win.
